MAX GXL and the Role of Glutathione

It is amazing what nature has equipped our bodies to do and what we can accomplish with our own resources. Glutathione is a well known, well researched and extensively documented anti-oxidant and while it is present in some of our healthier food choices, the main source is what we can manufacture ourselves.
Glutathione, a small molecule in the body, is formed by three amino acids. The product of these amino acids can be found in every cell of the body, but it must be created from these acids before it can help you. Glutathione is vital to the immune system. It helps the body produce lymphocytes, the cells that battle specific diseases and illnesses.
Our bodies can use food to manufacture the amino acids needed to create glutathione as well as building it from the acids found in cells. There are a number of foods that can help us create glutathione. Watermelon and asparagus are two of these, as are most fresh vegetables, fruits, and fresh meat. Whey protein is also beneficial. For most, a healthy diet will enable the production of all of the glutathione needed. Taking glutathione supplements has been found to not really be that helpful. It seems that oral supplementation of glutathione is not readily absorbed by our systems. That’s too bad since our ability to product glutathione falls off when we leave our twenties.
Glutathione not only works as an antioxidant, but it can also help our body repair itself after radiation treatment, infection, stress, injury, poor diet, and even burns and trauma. Antioxidants are capable of neutralizing free radicals. Basically, it keeps our cells working as they should. It also helps the liver remove foreign chemicals and other pollutants. In fact, most glutathione is produced in the liver.
Who should look at increasing the amount of glutathione in their bodies? Anyone who is dealing with high blood pressure, cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s Disease, cataracts, and even men who are dealing with infertility issues may benefit from more glutathione. It can also help when recovering from chemotherapy and other radiation treatments. However, it is important to note that studies are still being done on glutathione, and it may not affect everyone in the same way. No one is quite certain what the final word on glutathione will be, but let me share a story with you because one of the most rewarding things about being involved – even peripherally in the health business is having the opportunity to hear the testimonials of people who feel that a product has had a positive impact on their life.
Let me tell you the story about Larry, who spent over fifteen years living with long periods of extreme fatigue that left him feeling like he had just totally run out of gas. He had five different doctors working with him who prescribed an extensive number of supplements and medications which were pretty much useless in helping with how he felt. On top of that his immune system had almost completely shut down and he suffered from an iron deficiency.
Around the middle of December, Larry began to take a product which is designed to help the body boost its production of glutathione. By the third day after finishing up his Christmas decorations he was tired, but he described it as “normal” tired and the following day he felt great. Now, this is from a man who was previously only able to work for about an hour a day. He said that for the next week, he was almost afraid to go to sleep – fearing he’d awaken the next day and feel the exhaustion again, but it didn’t turn out that way.
Within a few weeks, while finally being able to work normal hours Larry was thrilled to discover that his sense of mental alertness returned as well. After spending so much time feeling too tired to think straight, Larry’s newly returned mental clarity had a huge impact on this life. He was also able to be rid of a long term discomfort that affected his hands. Energy, mental clarity, the dexterity in your hands – what an amazing way to get your life back.
He shared the story of his wonderful new life with his brother who is a physician. He in turn was also impressed with difference that increased glutathione levels made in Larry’s life. Best of all, Larry was able to kick his 78 vitamins and mineral supplements a day habit. He is excited about the improvement in his health and the way he feels and he’s excited again about what life has to offer.
