Classic Literature Review Of – To Kill A Mockingbird
February 28, 2010 | Leave a Comment
The majority of students in America at some time in their school career will be required to study the classic American novel “To Kill A Mockingbird.” Whether the students enjoy it and learn from it is another story! I first read the book in eighth grade and then saw the movie, and I watched the movie again the other day so I thought I would write up a quick summary. I thought the story would seem different to me now that I’m older, but much to my surprise it had much the same effect as it did when I was younger and I enjoyed it once again.

The art of television comedy will never would have changed to become a part of primetime viewing if it were not for the phenomenal TV show, Everybody Loves Raymond. The interest of the audience is highly aroused due to the fact that the plot and the scenes being shown on the show comes from the actual experiences of the lead character, Ray Romano and the show producer, Phil Rosenthal. There were episodes that were based on the lives of the writers and staff of the show. Other characters in the show are actually counterparts of real persons who are important to the lives of Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal. This is what makes the show different from those currently existing in the broadcast business: the personal touch of the characters that play their roles in it.

Warehouse Storage and Maintenance Systems – Why Now Is The Time For Inexpensive Upgrades
February 22, 2010 | Leave a Comment
Businesses can position themselves for a brighter future by investing in inexpensive upgrades to their warehouse storage and maintenance systems during the down period of the economic cycle. An increase in the number of business closures are making good quality equipment available at much lower prices than purchasing new. Furthermore, part of the government’s stimulus package is geared towards tax benefits for IRS Section 179 assets. Replacing fully depreciated items now with new or refurbished material handling equipment that qualifies under this tax section can mean tax breaks, as well as improved results immediately and in the long term. As the economic recovery continues to expand, businesses that have taken advantage of this window of opportunity will be poised to meet new demand and capture market share from operations that failed to upgrade their facilities.

Against Love by Laura Kipnis: Despite its tedious reading at times and over-the-top generalizations, Ms. Kipnis has achieved her goal which she states at the beginning: “it’s just supposed to shake things up and rattle a few convictions.” Reading this book will force you to think about the relationships in your life. You may not agree with her arguments or assertions, but you can’t deny that she’s engendered new thoughts about beliefs you probably hold dear. As a polemic, Against Love succeeds in providing a conviction-rattling read.

Dave Barry’s Money Secrets by Dave Barry: Dave Barry’s Money Secrets is one of those books that makes you laugh out loud and then read that passage to whomever is with you, and then give them the book to read when you’re done. Even though Dave Barry has retired from writing his weekly newspaper column, it’s obvious his skill at writing humor still runs strongly within him. I can continue quoting humorous passages from the book, but do yourself a favor instead, and get your own copy.
